A song I wrote and recorded while in the deepest throes of depression after the relationship I was in at the time went sour and I felt hopelessly alone.

My soul has not been spared
It's been ripped out and crushed into the ground
I thought for months that death was over
But now I find that it's coming back to haunt me

When I see through the hazy trees
I gaze upon my tombstone erected tall
A cemented place for my being
A monument to all sins, both yours and mine

I tried to fight what I couldn't see
But now that my vision is clear I watch my own defeat
Felled to the floor in a blinding vitriol
The result of only seconds of confrontation

I am corpse
Living walking death

A breathing husk of my former self

My skull aches with thoughts of lies
Thoughts of betrayal, the knife seeping through my back
No matter what I do to stave it
I find I'm always crucified in the end
