This small spot of the ocean Holds a history mostly untold A chronicle I shall archive Incorporated 1954 This colony by the shore Into which our life we shall derive Where I was born and raised Where I spent my younger days Where one day I'll die Where my body will lie In a graveyard in Alexander Bay This will always be my home Where the shipyard's lights are shone My roots run deep in this place My family toiled and fought Against the forestrial rot And they were never displaced Where I was born and raised Where I spent my younger days Where one day I'll die Where my body will lie In a graveyard in Alexander Bay

In the dark corners Of Saunders Cove A tall manor rises Over the trees Nestled on the point Blackened from years of neglect Abandoned, dilapidated Near the grey seas Shrouded in mystery An unfinished project Begs for exploration We snuck in at night Uncovered documents Ramblings of the insane What madman lived here? What ghost still haunts inside? Haunted black shingles Screams of terror beckon forth in the eve Haunted black shingles What was discovered none shall believe Haunted black shingles Where supernatural phenomena occurs Haunted black shingles Where lunacy was bred and spurned In twilight hours Dark things emerge Paranormal power Strange things are heard Chains rattle in the gateway The old attic stirs The floorboards tell the tales Of what occurred The sentences are gibberish We could not make sense Of what was written here Or by who I'm plagued by the mystery The answers lost in the ether Of these eerie ruins In this hall with a view

Oh, this ship should never have sailed From day one destined to fail The moment that she came here Oh, she now rests on the floor Of these grey, misting shores A source of flaming fear Oh, the oil burned so bright From dusk into the night A sight in the cove to behold Oh, she rusts now in the deep Decayed the hull weeps Remaining there to grow old Fire! She burned in the bay On a grey summer day Price for carelessness paid Burn! Wreckage once ablaze Sits in the harbor’s gaze Metal peeled and flayed

Village of silence Tucked away in Atlantic corners Breeding black magick In the minds of the isolated Born into backwoods towns Where progress is slow to come Oppressive by its very nature We learn to cope in different ways Securing occultic spells Cast forth from metal machines Into the airwaves abroad To captivate like-minded ones We are the black wizards of the east We are the sonic force with no reprieve We’ll leave our legacy behind Immortalized in the digital realm We are the black wizards of the east We are the sonic force with no reprieve We’ll leave our legacy behind Immortalized in the digital realm Mystical enchantments resound Necromantic songs abound Forever jarring with the aesthetic of These silent towns Screaming loud into the night Leaving our mark upon this sight Of one thousand albums of Decadent sonic might We are the black wizards of the east We are the sonic force with no reprieve We’ll leave our legacy behind Immortalized in the digital realm This is our way of life This is how we cope with strife This is our obituary This is our epitaph

Killers 04:25
In the stupor of this small town Wee hours when there's no one around We drive out into the night Hearts pulsating, fright or flight You're killers Killers Killers Killers in the night You're killers Killers Killers Bringers of the plight You're killers Killers Killers Guilty of the crime You're killers Killers Killers Without a fucking spine Vibrant colors fill up his eyes A journey just before he dies You should all pay for what you've done I knew this is what you'd become You're killers Killers Killers Killers in the night You're killers Killers Killers Bringers of this plight You're killers Killers Killers Guilty of the crime You're killers Killers Killers Without a fucking spine You should rot behind steel bars You should never have come this far The lies are carved into your face I see you as inhuman disgrace You're killers Killers Killers Killers in the night You're killers Killers Killers Bringers of the plight You're killers Killers Killers Guilty of the crime You're killers Killers Killers Without a fucking spine

The tree of kings Standing tall on Buck's Hill Looking out over the town Surveying the landscape A source of power and serenity Our connection to the roots The roots of paganism Felt here in the central reaches The tree of kings A memory of fellowship The silent nights of winters past Engraved upon my memory Where now is the prince of the copse? Felled by foes this winter past Now only the stump remains Now only a ghost of pain
9.
The maritime archaic peoples No longer living Extinct as a culture They left their legacy behind In the ground Where their bones are found Forever remembered As the children of the sea Their birch tree heritage Red ochre Painted faces Ancient spirits A deceased identity The mountains bear scars The earth bears skulls Arrowheads with dried blood In a wigwam on the shore Honored now In name only Maritime archaic Echoes through eternity Their legacy in birch The trays of family traditions Left to petrify in cold dirt
10.
A relic left behind From colonial times Remnants remaining Rusting away No wealth to pay the toll For the rails of ages old Fading into rust Crumbling to dust The rusted railway Tatters across the island The rusted railway The pride of Newfoundland Gone are the days Filed away in history The metal has succumbed To the annals of time The rusted railway Tatters across the island The rusted railway The pride of Newfoundland It came through here once Now only a ghost train

Time, we haven’t got much of it Love, depends on how you view it So how will you spend it? When they both have a limit? Ethereal waves Wash upon the shore I spent my time with them I know their truth Loss, time defines how we see it Life, love creates why we live it So how will you spend it? When they both have a limit? Ethereal waves Carry me home We spent our time with them They know my truth Ethereal Waves Carry me home We spent our time with them They know my truth

Old and grey Wither away The slow decay Of waves In the sea Off the shore In the trees Barnacle bore Dying slow Wet below Dry above In tiny cove Ocean cave Wood bone enclave Past engraved Drowning grave

A short while ago I said my goodbye To Flat Island, the place I held dear And now I must try to break all the ties But it’s hard to pretend I don’t care Flat Island is found in Bonavista North Populated by hard working men Without seeking praise or reward for their worth They worked earnestly till the end Oft times in my dreams I return there To the place as it was years ago When the strong active men worked on without fear Never thinking their homes had to go On the island all men worked together To help out each neighbor and friend In hot, cold, dry or wet weather They were there willing hands quick to lend These were fine God-fearing people And I’m sure they thanked him each day For sending them so many blessings That helped to enlighten their way It’s so sad to think about, that the island Once so happy and bright Now very soon will be deserted Silent day following silent night For poor fishery brought them discouragement And the people decided to go To a place where there would be no promises And prosperity they could again know We’ll always remember the island And regard it as home sweet home Though throughout many lands we many wander We’ll think of it wherever we roam So it’s adieu to my birthplace To the place I had lived without fear And forever in dreams I’ll remember And return to it year by year

Ancient structure The old mill still Stands tall over Glovertown

Willower 05:22
When I was a boy My world seemed so big A day was a thousand years And my father said to me Son, this is our home You'll always have a place to live And once we're dead and gone You'll have a place to rest your head Now I'm a young man And I don't have enough time to kill Where did it all go wrong I guess only time will tell I lost my way I need to make a reclamation I've lost my path in life Because time is intimidation Where is the house on the hill? Where is the willow tree? They're back at the top of the ridge Where the specters are waiting for me Where is the house on the hill? Where is the willow tree? They're back at the top of the ridge Where the specters are waiting for me Sure you've got twenty years Before the call of the grave I want to make it up For all the selfish ways that I behaved I know you'll always love me This will be my home Will I ever be at peace with that? Or am I too far gone? Where is the house on the hill? Where is the willow tree? They're back at the top of the ridge Where the specters are waiting for me Where is the house on the hill? Where is the willow tree? They're back at the top of the ridge Where the specters are waiting for me
